Precision medicine leader GBC announced that its General Manager, Mr. Frank Lin, was invited to attend the SNQ (Symbol of National Quality) Award Ceremony today. The company’s fully automated CellBio™ FX10 system was recognized in the “Precision Testing Group” under the “Medical Peripheral Services and Products” category for the 2024 SNQ Awards. This recognition not only affirms the excellence of the CellBio™ FX10 system but also highlights GBC’s strong R&D capabilities and competitive edge, further supporting the expansion of its liquid biopsy business opportunities.

The SNQ certification is established by the Institute for Biotechnology and Medicine Industry (IBMI), aimed at advancing the quality and internationalization of Taiwan’s biotechnology and medical industries. The symbol represents not only safety and quality but also excellence in product and service performance. GBC’s receipt of this prestigious recognition reflects its commitment to the principle of “Precision Medicine and Innovative Development.” The company adheres to stringent quality management standards in the design and development of medical products while actively expanding its three major business domains: precision medicine, digital medical diagnostics, and the development of new drugs and bio-nutraceuticals.

General Manager Mr. Frank Lin highlighted that the company’s fully automated CellBio™ circulating tumor cell (CTC) detection system has received numerous accolades, including the SNQ certification, Taiwan Excellence Award, and National Innovation Excellence Award. This detection system leverages a non-invasive sampling process to quickly and effectively capture circulating tumor cells (CTCs) from blood samples. With just a small 7.5 mL blood draw, it can accurately monitor CTC counts in the bloodstream, boasting over 90% cancer cell capture efficiency. It provides a highly precise and efficient screening method, helping patients receive optimal medical care, enabling early cancer detection, postoperative recurrence monitoring, and treatment efficacy evaluation—setting new standards in cancer diagnostics and post-operative treatment guidance.

Furthermore, GBC continues to deepen its CTC monitoring services (CellBio™) through close collaborations with hospitals and clinics. The company has also forged cross-industry partnerships, such as an alliance with Fubon Life Insurance, offering policyholders health examination services like “Circulating Tumor Cell (CTC) Testing” and “Tumor Marker Testing.” These efforts further solidify GBC’s long-term operational growth.

Looking ahead, GBC anticipates sustained growth in demand for precision medical diagnostics and liquid biopsy markets. The company is actively strengthening its five core business areas: precision diagnostics, liquid biopsy, CDMO, diagnostic services, and P113 Antimicrobial Peptide pharmaceuticals. To optimize resource integration, GBC’s AI Campus Headquarters is expected to be operational in the second half of this year.
